Poison/Principle.

The reason our bond remains to grow

Is not because I do not know

The deception and cruelty continue

I know.

But I’ve seen my life with you

I’ve seen life without

And I’m tired of letting principle

Snuff people out

The ones who truly matter

Who bring light in my life

Even if they are angry inside

Even if their aura leaks poison

And deflects blame without reason

I’m going to try to keep our spark alive

Because it’s better to die

Having had you in my life.
