⋆. ̊⟡ ࣪ ˖ Halfway to 30 Days in: Day 15 ༄.

I can’t believe it’s already been half a month’s worth of time since I’ve declared myself a ‘full time writer.’ Though, I’ve been making a great amount of progress this last week figuring out my writing routines and coming up with a course of actions to finally publishing a complete novel.

Things are going well. I have found a rhythm of revisions, hand edits, and sending to pre-readers. That being said, the revision process, or beefing up the draft, as I put it, is a lot more time consuming than expected. The key though, is to spend that time.

I’ve been using a method of motivation with two boxes and some marbles. Every time I spend 15 minutes of focused time on the re-drafting process, I move a marble from one container into the next. The first chapter took 3 hours and 45 minutes to get to a satisfactory enough level to share with my pre-readers; aka 15 marbles. I’ll be tracking this information so that as I move into future projects, and levels of this project, I have data that can help me plan ahead and give a better estimation for business actions.
