⋆. ̊⟡ ࣪ ˖ Path to Publication Day 10! ༄.

The first and second days felt so long, every day since then has felt like a race. I can’t believe it’s already day ten. The bulking era of writing since finishing the roughest draft is proving more mentally heavy simply because it takes longer to get through a scene, but it’s the most important part. I also can’t help but fear the editing process that’s coming later which should be the second to last filter before releasing it into the public’s eye!

As of right now I’m halfway through beefing up chapter one of fourteen, and am sitting at 19,015 words. The word count at this stage is constantly going up and down, but hopefully as we go along to the less fleshed out chapters especially, that number will grow quite a bit before publication day. Certainly leading away from the short story realm that I started with and into Novella territory. Time will tell if it becomes a full blown novel by the finale.

Anxiety’s high and self esteem’s low, but I’m not off track yet. Just dragging a little.
